Stability and Reproductive Delays in Age Structured Models

Jacques A. L. Silva [1]

Abstract

An overview of modelling techniques applied to age structured populations is presented. Discrete and continuous time models are discussed, emphasis being given to nonlinearities caused by a density dependent recruitment. Stability and effects of reproductive delay on stability are also discussed.
