It is with great pleasure to invite you to participate in the Tenth
Pan American Congress of Applied Mechanics (PACAM X) January 7-11,
2008, in beautiful Cancun, Mexico. Negotiations for accommodations
have been finalized with very appealing rates at two all-inclusive

all activities. PACAM remains the only conference sponsored by the
American Academy of Mechanics (AAM).
The conference will be chaired by Professor Thomas Attard (California
State University, Fresno), who will also be the editor of the
Conference Proceedings for PACAM X. As indicated on the conference
website, a 1-page abstract must be submitted by March 15, 2007.
Final papers will be due by August 15, 2007.

We look forward to your participation in this special biennial event
and to meeting you in Cancun. While accommodation rates for the
conference were initially being negotiated in Costa Rica, those
resorts began demanding twice the high season rates for our
conference. Therefore, please disregard any previous announcements
regarding PACAM X.
